Our Design Process
The design process starts in our 2000 sq/ft cabinetry showroom, where we hold the first two design meetings. This allows our designers access to sales tools such as door samples, color swatches and door hardware. When attending your first design meeting, we ask that you bring in a drawing of the space. This can be a blueprint (if building new) or a basic hand sketch of the area showing wall lengths, wall height, windows, doorways, plumbing / gas / electrical. Following the first meeting, our designer will require 1-2 weeks (depending on the size of the project) to prepare a well planned, custom design & proposal. When your package is ready, we will arrange the second meeting at our showroom to review the details of of the design. We are able to present you with an advanced 3D rendering, as well as technical elevation and plan details of your project. Along with our design, we also present you a full proposal which includes include time frame, specifications, cost and payment schedule for the project.
If you wish to proceed with the project, we will enter into a contractual agreement. This contract along with your first payment (as per the payment schedule) will guarantee you a time slot in our production schedule, and will allow us to release our design to you.
The last step in our design process is a detailed on-site measurement by one of our skilled cabinet makers. If any revisions are required to the project, we will provide you an updated set of drawings.
From this point, your project will be sent to our CNC department and proceed to the construction phase!
It's Free!
The best part of our design service is that it's free! We don't believe in charging you a fee to demonstrate what Norcab can do for you. It's a value added service that we provide to all potential customers.
Although our design service is completely free of charge, we do require all drawings and renderings to remain in house. If you wish to proceed with the project, we will be happy to release a full set of architectural shop drawings and color 3D renderings of your new project. If you are only interested in purchasing our design, we will be happy to provide you a quote.
